Blogmarks

AI & Privacy

Plain-language answers about how Blogmarks uses AI to process your bookmarks.

What gets sent to AI models?

The URL, page title, and extracted readable content of the page when we fetch it. Not your tags, notes, or highlights unless you explicitly share them.

Which model processes my bookmarks?

Claude on Amazon Bedrock (us-east-1). Anthropic builds Claude; Amazon Bedrock provides the API. Neither party uses your data to train their models — see the Bedrock data protection policy linked below.

Is my data used for training?

No. Anthropic's Bedrock terms prohibit using customer inputs for training. We do not send data to any third party that trains on it.

Where is processing done?

AWS us-east-1 (N. Virginia). Bedrock invocations happen in that region.

Is data retained by the model?

No. Bedrock does not retain prompts or completions beyond the invocation. Once the response is returned, nothing is stored by the model provider.

How long do you keep AI-generated content?

As long as the bookmark exists. When you delete a bookmark, all associated AI-generated content is deleted with it. You can also export everything first.

Can I ask for everything you have on me?

Yes — use the export feature in Settings to download all your bookmarks, tags, notes, and AI-generated content in one file.

Can I delete my account and all AI-generated content?

Yes — Settings → Account → Delete account. All your bookmarks, tags, notes, and AI summaries are permanently deleted.
